Welcome
to my personal website.
On
the following pages you will find information about my first novel,
Storm Reaction, a link to my publishers website and both a public
guestbook and my personal mailbox.
Storm
Reaction is the result of an idea conceived some years ago while
I was working in the Middle East during the first Gulf War. It
was based on a belief that the military balance in the region
had been seriously disturbed as a result of the de-militarisation
of Iraq, a concept that, somewhat surprisingly, was not alluded
to officially by any of the coalition partners in that conflict
until many years later. Other people were taking the matter more
seriously, however, and Storm Reaction is the story of some of
those people.
Storm
Reaction is also a story of the people whose job it is to pick
up the pieces when fear causes normally rational human beings
to resort to violence as their only means of survival, especially
when there are unscrupulous business interests ready and willing
to finance their terror campaigns.
I
sincerely hope that you will enjoy reading Storm Reaction as much
as I enjoyed writing it.
You
can post your comments on the book, or on any related subject,
in the guestbook. If you wish to ask me a private question about
Storm Reaction, or anything else to do with writing in general,
you can contact me via the mailbox and I shall do my best to answer
your questions as frankly and honestly as I can. I should be particularly
interested to hear from any other new or aspiring authors, for
I know, from personal experience, the difficulties that can be
faced when trying to put ones ideas into writing and, even more
so, the frustrations of trying to get them published.
However,
having achieved my initial ambition with Storm Reaction, I decided
to write a second book, Dutch Mist which I hope
to see published in 2006.
